Eagles coach Andy Reid did not rule out the possibility that Brian Westbrook would play Sunday night against the Bears in Chicago, saying an MRI exam yesterday revealed no torn ligaments or tendons. After the game, Westbrook declined to comment, and he was not available to the media yesterday. But on the Brian Westbrook Show on ESPN-AM (950) last night, he was vague on his chances of being ready Sunday. "I'm going to rehab every day and work my butt off from morning until night, and then on Saturday we'll make a decision and see how it feels and go from there," said Westbrook, who began rehabilitation yesterday.

They should let him sit until the forth quarter. That's when the Bears defense quits playing. At least that's what they've done for the past two weeks.

I think they should sit him out the whole game. Why risk it. Even if they lose it's still early in the season. That being said, I don't see the Eagles losing this game with or without Westbrook.

September 23, 2008  08:30 AM ET

Sit him. Eagles play Bears, Foreskins and then the 49ers. Get him healthy for the long haul.

September 23, 2008  08:30 AM ET

I'd bench him. Good teams with good coaches know how to make adjustments. And I'm sure the iggles' d can contain Forte and Orton.

September 23, 2008  08:34 AM ET

i think they should play him the whole game. give him 30-40 carries

September 23, 2008  08:41 AM ET

rest him, better to have him for the season than lose him for the season

September 23, 2008  09:02 AM ET

Sit this one out...the Bears are beatable with Buckhalter. PS - Did u guys hear about Hank Baskett?

September 23, 2008  09:51 AM ET

Please don't play! You are my #1 RB in my Fantasy and you do not want to go against the Bears D. However, your team (Eagles) can suck it!

Sit him - plus it'll show whether or not the Eagles offense is as prolific as the sports media have been saying.

Westbrook unsure for Sunday

Not that it will make any difference! The Bears will find yet another way to hand another game to the opposition in the fourth quarter! They'll find a way to fold like a cheap suit again. Somewhere along the way, these overpaid fat cats have forgotten that the game is 60 minutes long and you're supposed to play it till the final whistle to have a chance to win! It will be a long season in the Windy City if these bums don't get their heads out of their arses.

BTW. Ron Turner's got to go! He's "offensive" schemes are ... well ... offensive! They're easier to read than the headlines of the trash magazines at the grocery store while you wait to pay for your chips and beer!

Sit him out for this one they can beat the Bears without Westbrook.

You can't hand a game to someone when they kick your ****

The offense is prolific when he is on the field, so that comment is silly.

September 23, 2008  12:24 PM ET

Sit him play buckhalter until he blows out a knee.

Maybe the Cowboys should sit Owens so we can see how prolific they are? Cowboys are dead in the water if Owens goes down.

The last two games the Bears were in total control until the fourth quarter when they packed it in thinking it's over. Only then the arse kicking begun .... which they fully deserved.

Owens had 2 catches last game and they won. He is not the key. Their o-line is. An injury or two there will stop them. Although a devestating injury to Owens wouldn't make me cry. Maybe while he rehabs it that cut under his nose will heal. Doubtful though.

Actually I was referring to the upcoming **** kicking this Sunday night when Kyle Orton becomes a part of the field.

Watch the Eagles closely...If they get Westbrook back and stay healthy in the end they will be the team to beat this year not Dallas....Minus one fumbled handoff and they woul be the talk of the NFL..3-0
