NFL QBs reach out to Rutgers' Teel

This much Mike Teel would reveal about the advice he has received from outsiders during the toughest stretch of his playing career: Past and present members from the NFL quarterback fraternity have reached out to him. Which ones? "It doesn't really matter," said Rutgers' embattled fifth-year senior. Eli Manning, who knows a little about struggling and drawing the ire of fans, would seem to make sense. Phil Simms too -- especially since Teel has worked with the former Giants QB in the past and is friends with his son Matt.

Ok. Is this newsworthy? I think someone from the Newark Star-Ledger needs to find something else to print.

Yeah, that's about right.

They need to get rid of that throw over the middle. It has ended 3 game "winning" drives (2 last year 1 this year). At the very least they need to provide a decoy reciever so Teel can look-off the linebacker.

I'm not sure his problems are coaching(Look at Rutgers performance in the Third quarter of all their games). I just don't think the coahcing staff does it as well as there opponents.

maybe they'll tell him not to hit his receivers.....

hopefully Teel, Schiano et al can get this thing turned around so come December we'll be talking about a great comeback instead of a great hoax....keep your head up Mike !

Someone should reach out to Rutgers...and clone Ray Rice. When you can't stay close with an upstart, but still thoroughly overmatched, Tar Hell squad, you might be lacking your All-Big East RB.
