Recruit to pick between Michigan & State
One of the top uncommitted prospects in Michigan for the class of 2009 is Detroit Cass Tech's Thomas Gordon. The PSL star has seen his stock rise significantly the past few weeks and he recently earned scholarship offers from both Michigan State and Michigan. Prior to this weekend, Gordon had indicated that he would make his decision after his team plays arch-rival Detroit King on Friday. However, last Sunday, Gordon told Rivals.com that he was going to move his decision back until after his senior season and take official visits to both the Spartans and the Wolverines. That has apparently changed and Gordon is now set to announce his decision this Friday after his game, to which kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. Gordon will select between the two in-state schools. Gordon is rated the No. 91 athlete in the nation for the class of 2009 and will likely play safety in college.

Current Cass Tech Cissoko with Michigan. Teric Jones UM verbal. William Campbell de-commit verbal but many close to the situation VERY comfortable that he is a silent verbal and decommitted for reasons I won't go into here and now Thomas who has always been a UM fan. All Cass Tech students. See a pattern? I will be very surprised if he doesn't decide upon UM.
BAckground on Gordon...was a QB but projects as a safety. Just started playing safety THIS season thus why offers started to roll in late. Colleges wanted to see game film of him as a safety.

Though I agree the Cass TEch connection is strong with UM (coach played here, I believe), I wouldn't be surprised to see MSU steal a few. Coach Dantonio has a good thing going up there in East Lansing. Right now little brother is being a pretty decent role model to how big brother should be getting things done...

84...
Not all kids from Detroit go to UM/MSU. One particular player from Dertroit, specifically Cass Tech went to OSU. His name happens to be VERNON GHOLSTON. Maybe you have heard of him???
Michigan making sure that scenario never HAPPENS AGAIN!

I played ball with a kid from Cass Tech, but he sucked, so I'm assuming these kids do not.

Go to state son because RR is a joke.

MS is probably the better deal. I don't know enough about RR to condemn him, but if the kid wants a chance to shine in the spotlight the full time in his career, I think he's got to go to MS. But, he's got to make the choice and free up the other scholarship.

Hell worse than that was when Jerome Bettis form Detroit went to Notre Dame!!!! Hello Warden and 84...................uh thunderdragon, eat my shorts? Did RickRod steal your lunch money when you guys were kids? Yes there is unrest at Big Blue, but I assure you he will have far less time to "F" up a vaunted program than Chuckie (pass the tripe) Weis.........

I keep sayin UM will be fine.
Aside from the turnovers against the fighting muffintops, Threet and Mcguffie looked good or in the ballpark of good

Wake up early...usually to take a leak and then end up **** on my foot and that's the best way to wake a person up. Try it sometime!

Good that UM now has a starting QB...and that's Threet. As much as I was rooting for walk on Sheridan (who now has a scholi) he showed he's not the answer. UM has a lot of work to do even though some players have improved.
What will be more interesting to see is how TP does at QB now that they are still trying to scrape TB off from the under carriage of the bus.

It gets ugly when your school turns their back on ya. The spin doctors say he's still a big part of the team and will see playing time, but let's be honest. He should have seen the writing on the wall long ago. I personally have never been a big fan of his performances, seems to be a good kid, though.
I think this is the direction OSU must go if they want to get over the hump and win some of the big ones.

xxx84xxx, you are right, TB never really just threw the ball, everything was underthrown and he never lead the guy, TP just wings it, form is a little off but they will fix that. He can throw the ball and Todd never looked comfortable in the pocket. It's too bad but it happens someone else comes along who's better and takes your place. What is your take on when Beanie comes back, should be this weekend.

Looking at how things are shaping up at Michigan State and UM, I thnk Gordon would get the best exposure at Michigan State. State is on a roll and on a big competitive upswing at MSU. For this reason, MSU will probably get better coverage over the next 2-4 years. Secondly, he would be coming in at a time when State will be losing one of the best Defensive secondary players in the country and will have the opportunity to fill those shoes. Third, it is my opinion the the Defensive coaching staff at MSU is demonstrably superior to that at UM at present, and he would have more opportunity to hone his skills which will be so necessary when he goes to the next level. Finally, and so important as Mario Cunningham found out, MSU simply has more class on and off the field than does UM. Dantonio is a proven class act coach, focused on Physical and Mental toughness. Best choice for this young man? Hands down, Michigan State University.

Who is Mario Cunningham? Richie's kid? What makes you say that MSU has more class? Are you referring to remedial reading class? Then, I might agree. 8:^
