It isn't clear whether Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones violated the terms of the suspension laid out by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell by being mentioned in an investigation into an Atlanta shooting. Jones' attorney said Jones was not at the scene of the shooting but will cooperate with the police investigation. Jones is expected to return to Nashville today, which marks the beginning of the Titans' June organized team activities. However, due to the terms of Jones' suspension he will not be allowed to participate in the practices.

Waterhead? What the hell?

June 19, 2007  09:26 AM ET

Brainless.

June 19, 2007  09:36 AM ET

If he wasnt present during the reported crime, then this has nothing to do with Pacman and both the media and law enforcement agencies are sensationalizing this. I'm sorry. I dont like Pacman and I still think hes a troublemaker, but now this is overkill. I dont care if his entourage went on a killing spree. If he wasnt there then he wasnt there. This story has nothing to do with him. Nothing at all.

Moondizzle -

Keep in mind that the shooting was preceded by Pacman and his buddies getting kicked out of a strip club for fighting. He isn't being charged with anything, but that alone getting out in the headlines applies to the NFL's new player conduct policy.

June 19, 2007  09:51 AM ET

I am loath to defend Pacman, but moon is right. Just a case of using a name to generate interest. If he didnt shoot, wasn't in the shoorters car, then there is no reason to write this story. If he was fighting, ok talk about that.

June 19, 2007  09:55 AM ET

Thats fine...if I believed it. But I didnt see any of that anywhere. Understandably this guy shouldnt be going anywhere near strip clubs or even night clubs. For now. And no I dont hold him to higher standards than for myself. However if the guy wants to make his millions, I think the least he can do is act like a mature adult. If he doesnt want to make millions, then so be it. I dont care if he lives in a tent outside a strip club. Its up to him. Hes the one that has to be a responsible public figure.

However, again, I didnt see anything yet stating he was definitely at the scene.

Moondizzle, I am in tears over your remark. It seems that some people actually use their OWN BRAIN and make judgement calls for themselves about this stuff. I applaud your ability to read between the BS and get down to the FACTs. I agree.

June 19, 2007  10:15 AM ET

I agree with Moondizzle fo' shizzle. If he was not actually at the alleged crime/fight/shooting whatevr, then he should not even be mentioned in a story. If he is wanted for questioning in connection then yes it is okay to report that.

He is still a remarkably stupid person for putting himself in that position. I mean it is ownly his career/livlihood on the line here.

Maybe someone should create a comic book where Pacman and Elijah Dukes team up with, well about 1/2 of the roster of Bengals and get into all sorts of whacky misadventures.

Opening scene:

-A distress call to Headquarters:

"Chris Henry, to the Super-Hoopty!!! There are strippers in trouble at a dog fight down by the old mine......"

"Aw for real dawg!! You Pacman, I'm Audi 5000!"

"Word!"

Hmmmm, thats actually not a bad idea.

June 19, 2007  10:18 AM ET

Whether or not he was at the shooting I still think it is clear that he is not living up to his probational standards and he will obviously become a repeat offender. He either needs to undergo go serious phychiatric treatment/help to try and dismantle his tough guy/gangster image. Just because he is a wealthy football player does not mean he is invincible.

June 19, 2007  10:22 AM ET

Haha....in tears. Thats great. I stand by my original position stating that hes a troublemaker and brought everything on himself. But this story is just overkill. It was stated in the original story that he had nothing to do with any of it.

I mean, I went to a strip club last night and threw 3 singles in the air. Oddly enough, nobody dispersed to grab the Washingtons. Then I tried to bite a strippers ankle, but nobody in my entourage was man enough to pull out his gat and keep it real. So in the end I was thrown out. And I still have a job. I mean...wheres the publicity here.

June 19, 2007  10:26 AM ET

Moondizzle, that was funny. Ankle bites always start fights in the nudey bar.

June 19, 2007  10:26 AM ET

I had corn for dinner.

When keepin it real....goes wrong.

June 19, 2007  10:29 AM ET

If the can't break free from this gangsta thug buddies then I'm sure he'll be in more trouble in the near future. I would think these "Buddies" of his are just leaching his money and celebrity, without a care for him or his future. Someone needs to help him hang low and out of sight for a long long time. I know it's been a good three months since one of my posse shot up a boobie bar! J/K

June 19, 2007  10:42 AM ET

Pacman is retarded folks, face it. we need to stop trying to determine his behavior. some of us were all less fortunate and had bad dudes around us, but we didn't let them influence our behavior. dude is one of the reason racist people have an excuse to drop their thug remarks.

June 19, 2007  11:16 AM ET

Any chance we can introduce "young" Adam to Alex Rodriguez and they can go bar-hopping together. Just wondering....

June 19, 2007  11:22 AM ET

This guy is dumber than a box of rocks. Suspended for at least 10 games, watched and scrutinzed closely, and he continues to put himself in bad situations. He may have not have been around when the shots were fired, but seems like wherever Pac goes, stuff just happens. Guilty by association might be enough to cost him the whole season. Further, his overall stupidity and immaturity has probably cost him his career. I think Titans are done with him and I do not think any other team will touch him. Not worth the trouble. Hey Pac don't be down on me, I don't disrespect the fact that you're an idiot.

June 19, 2007  11:28 AM ET

If he didn't pull the trigger....we shouldn't be acting as if he did. Moondizzle fo shizzle got it right.

June 19, 2007  11:40 AM ET

No one said he pulled the trigger, but it sounds like he was instigating.Witnesses placed him there and a scuffle broke out between his boys and some other people. The smartest thing he did was to leave before the shooting started, but still, one has to wonder if maybe he told his boys to go after them. I'm not saying he did but you never know.
