Georgia has a bye this weekend so hopefully the injury isn't so serious.

They need an off week after that whipping they took from Bama. The Tide's D and O line were just unbelievable in that game......think they need to let Cody rest a bit more though; he looked very tired in the second half and I think that's why the Dawgs actually scored some unanswered points.

September 29, 2008  10:32 AM ET

As ugly as that game was, I did notice one positive thing. I heard how big and bad the bama nose guard is. Well, our freshman center pretty much had him in check all during the game. I only saw him in on one tackle, and got thru the line once. Sure being that big and in the middle, all he really had to do was just be there. But he is not the beast I was waiting to see. Or, like I said, our center did a great job of blocking him.

September 29, 2008  11:17 AM ET

Your O-line was dominated. I don't know what game you were watching.

September 29, 2008  11:41 AM ET

Well, you do not have to be in every tackle to be a beast playing on the D-line like Cody. Cody can just sit there, and take up at least 2 of your O-line, which frees up your linebackers. Goodgame though, Quite a intriguing year this year in the SEC. Geaux Tigers ( Bayou Bengals).

September 29, 2008  01:06 PM ET

I am just saying, I heard this guy was a monster. Well, he may be, but I was not impressed by him. The entire defense and offense, yes. Very much. But that Cody guy was no better or worse than the rest of the line...

September 29, 2008  02:16 PM ET

so this is the tough sec that plays defense LMAO you guys are crazy win or go home

September 29, 2008  02:16 PM ET

31-0 at the half, between the hedges LMAO so much for the black-out RIGHT!!!

September 29, 2008  02:17 PM ET

Dude, how you gonna talk when your team lost also?
At least our loss was to a top 10 competitor. What was Oregon State ranked? Oregon State lost to Stanford too.

At least our fans stayed for the entire game unlike USC's who didn't even show up to Corvallis.

September 29, 2008  02:48 PM ET

Leading Heisman candidate? yea right, after the no show this guy had against bama he should be off the list. Just like McKnight for his showing against Oregon State.

21 - 0 at the half, to an unranked team in a weaker conference is so much better?

God, I hope USC meets ANY SEC team in the NCG. USC will get it handed to them, and it will shut guys like this up.

Wow. How in the world are you talking smack about the SEC after your Trojans got taken to the woodshed by a JV team. As far as conferences go, the SEC is still the best in the land and the Pac-10 is worse than the ACC this year!

September 29, 2008  05:35 PM ET

I hope Moreno doesn't stay out of commission for very long. Georgia has suffered too many injuries this season, and sometimes it just isn't meant to be. When this season is in the books, the two best running backs in the country---Moreno and Beanie Wells---won't have played at full strength. Its disappointing, to say the least.

September 29, 2008  05:51 PM ET

Both will be ok I think.

September 29, 2008  11:20 PM ET

BR549 the Nose guards job is to take up blockers to let his linebackers be free to fly to the ball and make the tackles, I'm pretty sure he did one hell of a job!!!!

September 29, 2008  11:53 PM ET

All this crap about the SEC stomping SC... I give it up for Auburn and Arkansas... The only SEC teams to schedule SC... All we did... Was take out both of them... I don't know the schedule for the big boys in the SEC... But do any of them... Not play William and Mary... Or Slippery Rock... Or Middle Tennesee A&M???

the SEC is all about defense and running the ball; the Pac 10 is all about wide-open offenses and passing the football. Huge differences. Over the past 10 years the Pac-10 actually leads the SEC 9-6 in games vs each other. So USC lost to a team from the PAC 10. Good luck naming the last nonconference team to beat USC.

Eyeswideopen, you must not know much about football if you say USC lost to a JV team and they got "woodsheded". OSU has beat USC 2 out of the last 3 times they have played, hardly a JV team if you look at the teams that have lost to USC. The coaches came into the Oregon State game thinking all they had to do is show up to win, they were no ready to play...they had no defensive scheme to stop little snake dancer quizzz rodgers. Your one to talk when FSU has been so great over the last couple of years.

September 30, 2008  02:51 PM ET

come on now sec fans, and UGA fans you guys got killed at home, and the game was over in the first half LMAO 31-0 and you UGA lames wore all black like it ment something. LMAO thank god you all were black to hide the bruises and but whipping yall got. Hey it dosent matter who you play, when you LOSE a game, its all about how you LOOK losing it. We got upset and looked bad, but you guys got upset and KILLED at home, had the nerve to try and do the BLACK OUT thing, LMAO didnt work next time you try something like that make sure you UGA chiuauas show UP, WIN or go home, we booth lost but we made it look GOOD!!!!

September 30, 2008  02:56 PM ET
