Sampson: I concealed nothing

Kelvin Sampson defended himself Tuesday after Indiana University told the NCAA that "intentional conduct" by the school's former basketball coach could not have been stopped. "In no way did I ever hide or withhold information from Indiana University's compliance department," Sampson, now an assistant coach with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, said in a statement released by his agent. "I vehemently deny the inference that I made and concealed impermissible calls. The NCAA has never alleged that I initiated any illegal phone calls to recruits while serving as the head coach at Indiana. I always provided Indiana with everything they requested, including all documents and phone records." Sampson is accused of violating sanctions by being present while recruiting phone calls were made and knowingly participating in impermissible three-way phone calls with recruits. He is also accused of unethical conduct for providing false or misleading information to investigators and failing "to promote an atmosphere for compliance" within the program.

Your covering your stink'n arm pits.....that's something. Not to mention when a person crosses his arms (as in the photo) it's a sign of insecurity...etc. Nice try Sampson.

Like Sampson has an ounce of credibility left............ just keep your mouth shut, keep out of the spotlight and go away quietly, Kelvin.

I for one believe him....to be lying. Sorry, K.S.

Do you really believe that, I don't. It can be but it's a comfortable position, one, while standing and two, people do it when they feel a chill.

The NCAA needs to publish it's findings and evidence to shut this idiot up. It's a slap in the face when he says; "The NCAA has never alleged that I initiated any illegal phone calls to recruits while serving as the head coach at Indiana" I think he's playing word games with the "initiate" claim, meaning someone else dialed the number!

Sampson is the biggest lying, cheating, scumbug to ever walk the sidelines of any sport. He is getting exactly what he deserves.

I believe him. He didn't hide anything. This guy is so brazen he did right out in the open.

Sampson is pretty cushy in his new job. What can the NCAA do to him? He is out of their reach. Maybe the NCAA should talk to the NBA and other professional sport organizations and suggest that coaches who are proven to have cheated in college should also be banned from professional sporting jobs. This would give the NCAA some real leverage with Sampson and his kind.

how can you tell when kelvin sampson is lying?
his lips are moving.
seriously, can anyone believe anything that comes out of this tool's mouth? he's cheated, left two programs in disarray, took the money and ran.
he's a useless bag of crap.

You could be right, but I think Jim Harrick (sp) and his son could give him a run for his money in this category!!
