Diaw injures Amare's eye

Training camp in Tucson and Amare Stoudemire's health just don't mix. Stoudemire's ankle was well enough to play in a Wednesday night scrimmage, but he was poked in the right eye by Boris Diaw and missed Thursday's practices because of a torn iris. He also will sit out Friday's public scrimmage. Stoudemire missed the past two Tucson scrimmages in 2005 and 2007 because of knee surgeries. He will wear goggles when he resumes practice and is interested in wearing them full-time.

Tough when you get injured by your own teammate. I feel bad for Diaw. The more they will hate on him. Goggles. He is going to look like Kareem or Worthy. The next coming of Worthy(jj).

Whens the last time a player wore goggles, i remember Antoine Carr on the Jazz wearing Oakleys but not goggles.

It was an accident. No one will hate on Diaw.
However, looking like Kareem and Worthy was my thought as well.
Actually, I was thinking of Horace Grant as well. Unfortunately, Antoine Carr was not popular enough to be remembered. I know that Horace wore glasses, not goggles, but being a big man who wore eyewear, it's close enough.
That scene of Kareem in the movie Airplane, wearing goggles and piloting the plane all over the place, comes to mind as well.
