Takashi Saito pitched so poorly in Game 2 of the National League division series Thursday that when he looked ahead at the remainder of his postseason, he started by saying, "If they let me pitch again . . . " But Dodgers Manager Joe Torre said Friday that Saito would remain his closer, even though he was charged with two runs and three hits and failed to get an out in his ninth-inning nightmare.

GO DODGERS!!! THE BUMS ARE BACK!!!

I think they'll go to anyone to close out games the rest of the way. Saito may still be the closer, but I bet he's gonna have a very short leash

What? Why? Broxton is the future and the present.

October 4, 2008  12:19 PM ET

I came to this site from the CNN.com [main page] link that says, "Prince Fielder: "I'm Garbage." Of course, there is *NOTHING* on this page that references Prince Fielder, and this isn't [by far] the first time I've seen this.

What gives? Are you intentionally misleading us with teaser quotes to lure us to this lame site, or are your webmasters simply inept? Pls advise.

In any event, I wish you'd get your act together.

You can't tell if the Dodgers played good or bad because the Cubs + postseason = CHOKE.

October 5, 2008  01:24 AM ET

The Slubs should move their franchise the way the Cleveland Browns moved their team to Baltimore. The only difference is that they should move to Baghdad.
What a postseason joke, he wait that rhymes with CHOKE!!

October 5, 2008  01:47 AM ET

If he's still the closer, how come Broxton was brought in to close out the series? Sounds like Pope Joe told another white lie.

October 5, 2008  10:35 AM ET

Saito said he thought the game he pitched was the last game.So I think he will pitch every game will be his last game, even if he is not closer.
