What little doubt remained about Josh Beckett pitching in Game 3 tomorrow night, disappeared yesterday after the right-hander, battling a tweaked oblique, woke up feeling fine after Thursday's side session. "He's pitching," manager Terry Francona said before the Red Sox' 7-5 win over the Angels in Game 2 last night. "I think we kind of needed to go about it the way we did. Rather than hold him down and hope, I think we needed to let him go - rather than pitch today and hoping."

Good game last night, but damned if the Angels didn't figure out a way to lose it. What is it about the red sox that the Angels can't seem to overcome? The pitching isn't stellar, and the only thing that got them going was the poor start for Santana. Deep in the hole now...I am gonna be rootin my Cali arse off but I have a feeling my dreams of a Freeway series are all but through.
