K-Rod's velocity concerns Mets

Mets GM Omar Minaya still has his work cut out. Top priority: closer. Could this be where Francisco Rodriguez ends up? It makes sense, considering the Mets have the resources to offer something in the $15 million- to $18 million-a-year category, but insiders say Minaya might be concerned about K-Rod's drop in velocity. He might be more apt to go for a cheaper closer like Brian Fuentes. This will not electrify the masses.

K-Rod's salary should concern the Mets.....So should JD Drew's home run in K-Rod's biggest outing of the year...

I would go with Fuentes if I were the Mets.

Indeed ... there's something more than velocity to consider here. Minaya might want to concern himself with K-Rod's ability to wrap his own hands around his neck and squeeze.

After protracted consideration, I am removing the Bengals from my heart and from my teams list. I'm just not feeling it anymore. I was a big Sam Wyche guy, and split my allegiance between the Bengals and Bucs when he got hired in Tampa ... but the Bengals, after years of under-performance and questionable personnel moves (not to mention more arraignments than I care to count) just don't agree with me anymore. Go Bucs!"

K-Rod is good, but not nearly as good as his stats. He was given numerous easy save opportunities, some of which he managed to make interesting anyways. But no doubt he will get overpaid & next year will be getting ripped on message boards in whatever city he ends up in.

First of all, DUMBASS, I was just busting Becca's chops, as she knows. Second, I was a Bengals fan for 27 years, and a Bucs fan for 17 years. I was a big fan of Sam Wyche. See if you can wrap your head around that. Now I've decided that I'm not feeling the Bengals anymore, so I dumped them. A fair weather fan is someone who vassalates with his allegiance as the fate of his team goes, which, had you taken a moment to think, is not the case here. I don't recall the Bengals winning any Superbowls, do you? Third, pretending to be a newbie so you can hide from your comments is SO lame. You are obviously one of a handful of chumps around here with no semblance of a pair whatsoever.

I'll give you that. And keep waiting, but don't worry, I'm hard at work on your project ... I came VERY close when I saw a nice shot of Danny DeVito on Pompano beach, but I think I can do better ...

Aaaah, an account created a year ago, making his first comment today. Good morning, Bruce "Roy" Edwards! Time to wake this one up and start voting, huh?
