Anderson's job on line in Cleveland
Derek Anderson isn't at rock bottom, but only a few ladder rungs remain in his descent to a place where headlamps are the practical fashion of the day. Anderson is in line to start against the New York Giants next Monday when the Browns return from their bye, in part because he's coming off a productive fourth-quarter drive against Cincinnati. That's faint praise, but in this trying season it's what passes for a recommendation. A better performance in prime time next Monday would carry extra weight and likely earn Anderson road starts against Washington and Jacksonville. Then all bets are off. Give Anderson three weeks - at most - to show he's really not the second coming of Scott Mitchell, the Lions lefty who had one big year, signed a lucrative deal and was never all that again. The Browns need to win two of the next three to avoid a 2-5 start or this bye week must soon be followed by a buh-bye week for him.

I don???t think Brady Quinn is going to do a better job than Derek Anderson has.

I coined the phrase "Derek Flash in the pAnderson" a long time ago. As in, during the 2nd half of last season...

They are gonna take out the Giants. The end of the cincy game was just a preview of what's to come.

Uh...that was 2 weeks ago. I guess you forgot about the 44-6 romping Seattle received just yesterday.
Its doesn't matter who they put in...because after the clock runs down to 0:00 in the fourth quarter...Cleveland will be receiving their 4th loss.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but I like the Giants chances against the Browns. As for that 44-6 romp yesterday, if it wasn't for those two stupid face mask penalties on the last drive of the first half, it would have been 44-3!!

I will admit...the Seattle game scared me. Giants were 4-15 after the bye week. I thought the return of Branch and Engram was going to play a huge factor in this game.
As you can see...it didn't.

I am looking at 44-3 this coming Monday night. I don't think it will matter who is at QB, but I believe Quinn will be in before Q4...

I found it odd that even on a bye week my beloved Brownies were a 3 point underdog. LOL. Sorry. Hey, we have a win under our belt now and will look for another next Monday night against the Giants. Hopefully this will be one of those games wherein the underdog is completely overlooked. Much like the Chiefs when they beat the Broncos. It's the NFL. It will be a much bigger game for the Browns than the Giants. The Browns slip to 1-4 and the players check out for the rest of the season. You get a big win against the defending champs and move to 2-3 you start believing in yourself. Balls to the wall game. If Anderson struggles like he did the first half against Cincy you yank his ****. That is if you would like to coach another day RC.

We didnt question the coach last year when we went 10 and 6......sorry but the man in question is Phil Savage, he gave D.A. the money, and not to mention ruined our past two drafts, everyone knows you WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS through the draft, not through Free Agency

The Giants are either very good or simply great. I'm not sure if they can stand up to the real phyical teams yet though-Pittsburgh,Titans,Minnesota.
