Purdue stands behind Painter

Purdue might have quarterback inefficiency, but there is no controversy: Curtis Painter is the starter. Purdue coach Joe Tiller pulled Painter in the fourth quarter against Penn State, but reiterated that Painter will start Saturday at No. 12 Ohio State. Painter was yanked after completing 13-of-22 passes for 112 yards, including a bad interception that led to a field goal that gave the Nittany Lions a 20-point lead. Tiller isn't concerned about Painter's mind-set following the benching.

Nice!!! Couldn't have said it better.

Although I will say this; don't be surprised if EVERY QB has a bad game against Penn State this year. Zook didn't bench Juice during the PSU-Ill game because of bad stats. PSU always has a good D. This year, less than average, but they are playing as a team and CONTROLLING both sides of the game. Face the facts: When you play a solid D, the stats take a hit.

It won't really matter who they start. OSU needs to be running on all cylinders for the rest of the year, not just for certain QBs. They've simply got to put it all together, and start playing as a team, not just an offense or defense. Go Buckeyes.

Painter is awful, as a die hard Boilermaker fan, Painter never deserves to step on the football field agains this season, we should be starting Joey Elliott who is FAR BETTER than Curtis Painter!
