Crean: Hoosiers have suffered enough

Indiana basketball coach Tom Crean said Monday the program has suffered because of the previous staff's recruiting violations and would be shocked if the NCAA hands down more serious penalties than the self-imposed restrictions already in place. "It's hard for me to talk to (recruits) and feel like it's going to be a lot more than what it has already been," Crean said. "I'd be shocked. I really would." Crean said the ability to recruit and award an equal number of scholarships is "paramount to your success past, present and future."

Maybe he should call Dennis Francione to see what to do when you step in to coach a big-name program that's about to get hammered with sanctions.

Are you sure it isn't Brain Engbloom? (that hockey savant)

Quit crying dude, there's no Wall Street bailout for IU, nor should there be!

What did this guy think that the NCAA was going to waive all the allegation because he is now the coach. He's the idiot that steped into a bad situation, he has no one else to blame but himself. Sounds like he got himself into a Tommy Amacker situation to me.

It looks like it turned out just wonderful for Dennis now didn't it? Alabama has Saban and is ranked #2 in the country. Dennis was fired for basically putting the Aggies in reverse and is now unemployed and disgraced. Amazing how Karma works!

The Hoosiers will be fine in the future. Crean has already garnered IU a #3 ranked '09 Class. Things are looking good for the future, as an IU fan I haven't felt this way since Knight was the coach.
