Travis Hafner's right shoulder, which ruined his 2008 season, might need arthroscopic surgery. GM Mark Shapiro said Wednesday that the Indians were unhappy with the strength in Hafner's shoulder during his physical at the end of the season. Surgery is one of their options.

Why didn't he have surgery already? He practically missed the entire season anyways. It was not like they needed him pack for a pennant race or division title run. This makes no sense!

If things don't shape up, I will personally call the Tribe and cancel Slinky's discount season ticket package that was mailed to him by mistake due to an accounting error that he conveniently never called to correct. That will show YOU TRIBE!!!!!!

Not only the entire season, but this is probably what was holding him back in '07, too. I wonder if it's because he's a po-dunk from a town with a population of 500 and he doesn't want the surgury. He better take the knife -- his big four year extension STARTS next year.

Two years ago, this guy may have been the most feared hitter in the AL. It would nice to see him come back.

And then I'll have to go back to mugging 16-year-old girls walking into the park for their tickets. It'll be bad all around.

2007-24 hr's 100 RBI's .266 avg

I know I'm a glass is half full kinda chap, but I look at it this way Slinky, you increase the daily mugging/per adolescent girl, and Mayor Jackson has the perfect justification for hiring more cops. I look at it as community service from you.
