Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones placed his status with the NFL in jeopardy by getting involved in an altercation early Wednesday morning at a Dallas hotel. According to Dallas police, Jones hit his bodyguard, Tommy Jones, at the Joule hotel. The bodyguard, police said, declined to press charges. Deputy Chief Vince Golbeck, commander of the central patrol division, said officers were called to the Joule about 1:30 a.m. and were told there was a disturbance between Adam Jones and one of his security officers. Golbeck said officers believed Adam Jones was drinking and that he may have stayed at the hotel. Sources close to Jones dispute the report. According to sources, Adam Jones was having dinner with his girlfriend and two bodyguards Tuesday night. When one guard left for the evening, Jones hung out with several people, including rapper Ludacris.

Sorry Pacman, can't defend you anymore. Jerry Jones needs to either cut him now, or suspend him 4 games until the bye week. Unless this bodyguard slapped his girlfriend, Pacman is an idiot. I'm leaning towards cutting him right now...

You should not be able to beat up your body guard. Especially if you are hammered. That just is not right. If you can , then so can the guys he is guarding you from. There needs to be some kind of test where he shows he can take you to get the job. This thread may just set a record. Jeesh, and I have to work today. And that just ain't right either.

No hope for this guy.

Pacman is a ticking time bomb.

Some people have issues with their temper, their anger. I understand this issue with people and it is not just this Pacman boy. It is a trait for a much broader group and I totally understand. Eventually these people calm down in their lives or they implode....like OJ has shown the world. I understand it. I dela with it. I feel sorry for these people. And it's sorta funny too, because it has nothing to really do with their lives. It is all manufactured...as an excuse, as their reasoning. It is not reality, but they want you to think that something....affected them.

I guess the constant babysitting finally got to him. Everyone knew it was only a matter of time seeing as how he can't even go to a fast food resteraunt without 5 bodyguards on him.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted....So long Pacman....

I guess I had it coming after all those posts sticking up for my Boyz'. Although this doesn't seem like that big of a deal, it is a big deal because it's Pac.

This is why I HATE talking smack about football. It ALWAYS comes back to bite me in the arse. ALWAYS!!
I need to learn to just sit back and take it!

Someone on another thread callled me a Cowboy apologist. In Pacman's case, I will not be. He knows what his situation is and if he screws up, see ya! If he messes this up it will be a darn shame because he really is a good player.

The Boys went on out on the limb for this dude. I really dont know, has he played that well to make it worth it?

October 9, 2008  07:54 AM ET

"The source says that the problem started because the bodyguard popped off to Jones??? female companion. Jones, who had been drinking, then started up with the guy, and it culminated in a scuffle.

Adam, Adam, Adam. Don't get in a fight with your bodyguard over your girl. You probably could have called Jerry Jones at his house, and the bodyguard would have been fired before you hung up. What a shame..

I would classify this, if it goes south, as a failed experiment that didn't really cost the Cowboys anything. However, that being said, we really don't know all the circumstances or what JJ's reaction will be. I'll reserve comment until the facts are in.

Yes.

He's been the Cowboys best player in the secondary I would say. He doesn't have any INTs, but he's been close and looked like he was getting better each week.

Yeah, I guess I was a little conservative with my estimate yesterday. There's been over 1600 on that one.

Well, I would slightly disagree that it won't cost them anything seeing as how T Newman is out for an gosh knows how long. And Pac has made some plays in the last 2 games. Ouch, this one's gonna hurt boys, the timing couldn't be worse....When is that trade deadline?
