Quarterback Mark Sanchez practiced Wednesday for the first time since suffering a knee injury last week against Oregon, taking first-team snaps during several drills and moving and throwing the ball well. Sanchez's status for Saturday's game hinges on how well his knee responds today and the rest of the week, Coach Pete Carroll said. If Sanchez cannot play, Mitch Mustain will start.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mustain in a real game type situation, not mop up duty. He's going to have to show his bona-fides at some point. The sooner the better.

I agree with you 100 percent. I live in the south now and I saw a lot him his freshman year at Arkansas; the guy looked good as a passing QB.
