Mariners talking to Mets' VP

Tony Bernazard, the Mets' VP of player development, is slated to interview with the Mariners today for their GM position. The Mets granted Seattle permission to interview Bernazard, who also interviewed for the Pirates' GM job last year (Neal Huntington was hired instead). Currently the Mariners have the only GM opening, but others that could become available include Philadelphia (though if Pat Gillick retires, Ruben Amaro Jr. is the favorite to replace him) and Washington. Bernazard is believed to be a longshot for the Seattle job.
