Why TE recruit picked Pitt

The Pitt football program has won four consecutive games, is ranked No. 23 in the latest Associated Press poll and looks to have rebounded from a season-opening loss against Bowling Green -- all that came into play for Thomas Jefferson High School tight end Brock DeCicco, who made a verbal commitment to the Panthers yesterday. "Pitt is moving forward and I want to be a part of it all," said DeCicco, who is 6 feet 5, 225 pounds. "It is as simple as that." DeCicco chose Pitt after narrowing his list of college suitors to the Panthers, Iowa and Wisconsin. He will play at Pitt with his brother, Dom, a sophomore safety.

Maybe that had somehting to do with choosing Pitt

If he is rational, his brother is the only reason he would have chosen Pitt.

Unless you're a Ball State fan, I don't think anyone from the state of Indiana should be taking shots at any other program.

You should probably reserve that comment until you are finished playing all the teams in Indiana. That team up north is looking pretty good.

It might have some. He also joins good friend OT Lucas Nix, another former high school teammate that was a top 100 recruit for the Panthers last year. However, according to chatter, Brock had some doubts as to the Panthers offensive philosophy just recently. Apparently, knocking off South Florida on the road on national tv along with Penn State waxing Wisconsin ( his other finalist) may have been enough for DeCicco to take the plunge.

Hopefully he didn't do it because of Wannstedt. Because that would make zero sense.
