We're hearing more and more that Bobby Valentine, 58, is sending out feelers to return to the States to manage. He earns $1.5 million per year managing the Chibe Lotte Marines but appears to be growing weary of Japan and would love to return home to manage. "I know he's sent e-mails to a few 'future' GMs," said an American League scout. Valentine reportedly was interested in returning to the Mets, but they ended up retaining Jerry Manuel. He now has his sights set on Seattle, while Milwaukee also could be a possibility.

Somebody givwe this moustache masked man a job.

He would be a top 5 manager from day 1. Nobody out coaches him, and he gets the most out of so-so talent. The Brewers have so much young talent...they would be scary w/him as manager

I like how Bobby V trashes MLB and praises the superiority of Japanian baseball, but the first glint of a skipper's job in the states and he's all for it. He's a good manager, just a tool.

I hope he gets a job, but as a Card fan, I'd rather not see him in Milwaukee.

You know how I feel.

Dump Jerry Manuel. pay him off NOW or demote is loosing butt to the bench and bring in Bobby V

This would be another vintage Met Move ....

OR .....Booby V wait another and manage the Yankees, Now that would be a Broadway show !!!

I think the Brew Crew should stick with Sveum...I can see similar success like Joe Maddon has with the Rays. Besides, if anything it's the pitching / batting coaches that need to be replaced.

If he can resurrect the dysfunctional Mariners, he's a genius. Somebody's gotta right that pathetic excuse for a team. (Mind you, I'm weeping while I say this.)

I think his reasoning for the Milwaukee job is so he doesn't have to change his jacket.

Bobby V would give the Mets a kick in the arse but they seem pretty content on choking.
