It doesn't give a reason for his de-commit but if it is just because of the year MU is having the kid is making a big mistake. ND appears to be getting past "hitting bottom" last year. MU will too...

Things will suck for a while, but we'll be back. Hopefully we won't go 3 and 9, but as of now, I hope we can even win that 3rd game, especially with OSU, MSU, PSU, Minn, and NW to go. this is going to get uglier before it gets better.

What he should have done is watch last year's Michigan -ND game when we didn't lose our QB, RB, three receivers and half our offensive line to the pros. Maybe we should go after Yeatman, naw who wants a bust-out that can't handle his liquor. "HAIL TO THE VICTORS" you pusillanimous prick! Shhhhhhhh, don't talk, I can hear Chuckie getting fatter............

If he wants to go to Minny, it's not a huge deal. I think he'll be a really good player and would love to have him but if he thinks Minnesota is going to be in a better place than Michigan when he's a junior or senior well...my money's on probably not. Either way, hope he recommits.

That decommitment hurts...That kid is real good. Hopefully he goes to minnesota and not another decent bigten school so he will never come back and hurt UofM as an opponent.
Mich has plenty of good WRs... this should not be too big of a deal...but it sounds like he is not coming back to Mich. I have to believe it has to do with that Toledo loss somewhat.

I hope he didnt get scarred off because of the two 2010 WR recruits that committed. McNeal will make an instant impact at Michigan as a Freshman....crap anyone that comes in next will have immediate impact next year. Something tells me though that RR will work his magic on the recruiting trail once the season is over... Look what he did in a short time span last year steal shaw, roundtree, and barnum

Agreed. It is a good thing for Michigan football that these dumb kids de-commit themselves. Thank God we got rid of that bum Mallet. Where did he transfer again? I forgot.

Michigan is done. It's a cycle thing, and Michigan won't be THE Michigan for a while. Minnesota is on the rise after hitting bottom with a 1-11 season last year. Brewster can recruit, they will open a brand new stadium on campus next year, and the 6-1 Gophs are almost all underclassmen. Minnesota will no longer be the whipping boy for the big 10, and are anticipating a return to prominance which could be starting this year. Michigan will get theirs, but start looking for the blue chip recruits to start migrating to the other U of M.

Whatthething: you are joking right? when you say "return to prominance" that implies there ever was a prominance. sorry you got stuck being a gopher fan. watching michigan this year is definitely not fun, but having to watch minnesota for a lifetime makes me think you must have done something really bad in a former life.

Duke: All I'm saying is the tide is beginning to shift. There was a wiggle last year with App. State, now Toledo, the first recruit has jumped ship and the flukes are turning trend. Look what happened to teams like Nebraska and Miami from the 80's to today. What about Boise State and Missouri going the other way? It can happen. MI will probably never be last, but how will you deal with middle of the road for the next decade? MN is building a foundation while there are cracks are starting to show in MI. We'll know more in three weeks...

Whatthething, I can't seem to follow your logic. Minnesota has one very bad season - last year, and now they're on their way to the top in the Big 10. Now Michigan has a bad season, and according to you, they're destined for a "decade in the middle of the road"? What makes you think that Michigan can't turn it around as quickly as Minnesota did?
Michigan's going through a tough season - and the remainder will be tough as well. But, RR has it going in the right direction - IMO. You may disagree, and that's your right. But, I see a lot of good things happening in a VERY young team in Ann Arbor.

What good things are you talking about? Until we land Campbell and at least 1 other of the top recruits we are after, I don't see this as a rebuilding year. Sure, it was great to get Beaver and Forcier and Lalota but we need alot more from the 2009 class to be talking about bigten championships.
I wish RR would start his upperclassmen, what is with starting Mcguffie? he is good but Minor waaaay more finished. Where is Carson Butler? He is maybe the best player on the offense and I havent heard his name all year...did he beat up his girlfriend or something? Matthews isnt getting enough balls his way either...I feel like RR is so intent on building the future that he is not putting this team in the best position to win this year which i believe is in turn hurting our recruiting. We need to get Jelani Jenkins, Reuben Randle, Dre Kirkpatrick or that Evans guy from Inglewood. If Ron English was still here, we would have way better recruits this year.

I think Carson Butler got in trouble again so that explains that situation and minor has been banged up this season. McGuffie is really the only back that isnt injured that UM can use that doesnt fumble. Everytime i watch matthews hes always going out with some wussy injury. Really does Michigan have Upperclassmen??? NO.....RR will land a big fish this year and hopefully more than one. There is one thing on his side that most Big Time college programs cant offer and that immediate playing time.

Serioiusly man?? Building a foundation??!!! U put out barber and maroney thats all i know about minnesota football. Cracks??!! Our offense is all fresman dude! Name one offense in college football where most were freshman and they were good... Reality check, minnesota is never gonna contend for a big ten championship EVER. And michigan will be back reaaallll soon. And im callin an upset of Penn State this weekend, yup im the jack**** whos gonna do it. "Those who stay will be champions."
