Falcons owner: Vick should return to NFL

Falcons owner Arthur Blank told ESPN.com he wants to see imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick back in the National Football League but not in Atlanta. "He's written me and I've answered him," Blank said. "I certainly wish Michael well in the future. I believe in second chances. I believe in third chances. That doesn't mean I believe in forever chances. But I do believe he's capable of redemption and learning from his mistakes. We're committed to Matt Ryan. Even before his early success, we were committed to Matt Ryan. We made that decision when we drafted him. When you select someone in the draft at that level and pay him what we're paying him, you expect him to be successful and you expect him to be a team leader."

Sure, sure, sure... Let Vick back in [but not with my team].

Send him to the "home of second chances" in Dallas!

And Vick should be allowed in the league once he has paid his debt to society.

Well, there are some teams who could use a good QB...but not sure it he is still a good QB...

Vick and Pac-man can watch on TV together......................

How nice of him to wish the guy on his opponents. Sounds like an old Irish curse .

QUOTE(#7):

he will be 40 or close to it by the time he has finished the time he hasn't been sentenced to yet in VA....

He also hasn't been tried either..

I don't want this derelict back in the league, two teams might sign this clown.

Dallas, where apparently there is no amout of trouble you can get in that they wouldn't sign you, and the Bungals, former home and current of home one man crime wave, WR Chris Henry and now former Chicago Bears RB and DUI boater Cedric Benson!

any taem..without a proven, pro bowl QB could use Vick. and thats a lot of teams...get over your hate man...fighting dogs does not make you a derelict...he broke the law...he was over charged because PETA decided to use him to further their political position..he is paying his debt...thats it..

October 15, 2008  09:36 AM ET

Vick could be the next quarterbacks coach in Oakland...

October 15, 2008  09:53 AM ET

So, how much money did Blank have to pay the guy from that last contract?

October 15, 2008  10:00 AM ET

Someone will give him a chance, but there will not be many talking to him. I think he deserves another chance

October 15, 2008  10:03 AM ET

50yearfan...If I am not mistaken he owes the Falcons a portion of a bonus, something like 8 mil, which I do not think he has anymore

October 15, 2008  10:07 AM ET

I think he should play in Canada. They would pay him well and welcome his talent. Get a book deal too, as stupid as that sounds, I know of millions of dumb Americans that would buy it.

October 15, 2008  10:11 AM ET

They will not allow him to enter Canada, convicted felon

October 15, 2008  10:19 AM ET

His only hope is if the NFL expands to one of the "dog eating" countries.
