Rutgers' tailback to return

For the first time this season, Kordell Young is ready and healthy enough to play a second consecutive game. That's no small thing for Rutgers, which saw its running game suffer after Young impressed as the tailback starter in the opener and then missed the next four games due to lingering problems in his surgically repaired left knee. Young, forced to take last season as a medical redshirt after undergoing ACL surgery, had 94 yards and a touchdown in the opener against Fresno State. He then missed the next four games because of an undisclosed problem with his left knee. Rutgers' running game is ranked 98th nationally heading into Saturday's Homecoming game against Visiting Connecticut (5-1).

or michigan - have it from a reliable source that he was ready to take the mich job and bail on his "beloved jersey".he made a call to a guy to come with him and be OC.. then got cold feet. Schiano is getting what he deserves, he is cocky, ran up scores, and is not ready to be at the next level.

Had Young been healthy all the way at the season's start you may have seen RU looking to keep its Big East record perfect heading into the UConn game. But that's not the case. It's going to be a long rest of the year for RU. But no way is Schiano wrong for turning down Miami or Michigan. I'm not a Rutgers fan, but I think this program will be back in a big way sooner than later. RU fans need to have some patience and look forward to the future.
