Eligibility issues for Vols freshman

09:56 AM ET 10.17 | Tennessee true freshman point guard Daniel West won't be participating with the Vols when the team's official practice begins Friday. The school says West is being prevented from practicing due to an eligibility clearance issue and said in a statement it couldn't comment further because of privacy concerns. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound West averaged 15 points, 11 assists and six steals as his Saginaw (Mich.) High School won the Class A state championship. At Tennessee, West was expected to compete with J.P. Prince and Bobby Maze for the starting point-guard position.

Well, I guess that sucks... BUT, this is October, it is FOOTBALL season, gives us B-Ball news in February when people actually start to care.

Just bought tix to the "Old Spice Classic" in Orlando for Thanksgiving weekend. I look forward to watching this young Tennessee team begin to mesh...........GO VOLS!
