Mets, Royals may revisit Guillen trade

Luis Castillo is going to be very, very difficult to move this offseason. But maybe not impossible. The problem is the Mets would have to take on a headache to rid themselves of a headache. To that end, The Post has learned that the Mets and Royals had discussions in July about swapping expensive malcontent outfielder Jose Guillen for Castillo. An executive who was aware of those talks said he thought it was possible the clubs could revisit negotiations this offseason.

Um... Ok. Cuz Guillen is def somebody I would do anything to obtain.

The Mets need to get their act together for real.

Like trading one STD for another I say...........

Castillo fits perfectly into our plans in KC. I mean, all we want to do here is field a team. We don't care about improving or signing guys who would be good leaders for the young prospects we're bringing up. We just sank the franchises richest contracts into a malcontent named Guillen, why not bring in Castillo's bloated contract and bloated #ss into KC? (WILL ANYONE SAVE US ROYALS FANS? EVEN THE RAYS ARE WINNING NOW!)

This sounds like a good deal but I would want Grudzelanek & Guillen for Castillo & possibly one of those gutless wonders in the bullpen, possibly Schowenwies or Heilman.. I think Mark would be a leader & a good number 2 hitter. Guillen... Oh boy, that is gonna be some project..

Personally, I would do anything to unload Castillo . However, if we are going to do it, we have to also import a leader not just a hothead. This is a double sided deal. I hope it works out though if it goes through.

I think that Milledge, ah I mean Guillen would do fine in New York

As a Mets fan, I do not want Guillen. Castillo is not that bad when healthy, which has been too rare recently. I would not unload him just to get rid of him. He is a good #2 hitter behind Reyes and besides why move Murphy to second when you can keep him in LF?

His last name fits perfectly with the Mets vision. Thanks Omar!

If i could take his 20 hrs and 97 rbis and not his attitude i would in a heart beat over castillos numbers, but this would be the worst trade ever for the mets even thought i think castillo need s to go
