jerry likes to spend money. some owners do. there's only one owner that is successful at it though. hate him or love him, give jerry credit. he's not danny or al or whoever spends the 49ers money. jerry tends to field a competitive team yearly.

Competitive is a relative term, with the money he spends he should have a few rings by now. I'd say money invested vs. return on investment, Jerry's done a pretty mediocre job at best.

Jerry can afford to dish out these salaries because he can afford it which is a result of being successful.

This would be saying that money spent = championships, which is largely an illogical and baseless conclusion to make, considering that dollar bills are not actually playing the game on the field.

i usually agree with your comments. but as much as i don't like him, TO plays hard.

Great blocker for a WR.

TO plays hard when the play is in his direction. Otherwise he is at 1/4 speed.

We'll see how he does. I'm more intrested in Brad Johnson's play.

He's trying to be like a Steinbrenner of baseball and buy a championship, we all know that doesn't work.

Hines Ward is a better blocker, probably the best in the league. I will say this though, I heard TO talk about his latest incident and truth be told it sounds like he's matured quite a bit! Good for him as he may be the most dynamic wide out in the game.
