Arizona State quarterback Rudy Carpenter returned to practice Sunday after sitting out last week to rest his sprained left ankle. "He moved around pretty good," coach Dennis Erickson said. "It'll get better all the time. It was way better than before the USC game. He had a lot of trouble stepping and throwing in that game. I think he'll be pretty close to 100 percent by Saturday," against Oregon.

He might as well play. It's the best team left that they have to play (not that that is saying anything, the rest of their schedule includes 0 decent teams). It's the last chance he'll have.
