Marcus Williams in Nellie's doghouse

If the rise of DeMarcus Nelson is the Warriors' biggest surprise of training camp, then the fall of Marcus Williams is their biggest disappointment. Williams was assumed to be the front-runner for starting point-guard duties once Monta Ellis was injured, but his slow grasp of the Warriors' offense -- coupled with his lack of defense and speed -- has him buried on the depth chart. "I expected more, and we haven't seen it yet, and it's getting late," coach Don Nelson said.

slow grasp, lack of defense, lack of speed . . . oh, oh, somebody's gonna get traded or worse, released.

why bring up Europe?
who cares about europe?

DaMarcus Nelson is what forced this. Apparently the former Dukie is playing well for the Warriors.

I'm not surprised that Marcus is having problems. I always thought he was overhyped coming out of UCONN. Everyone compared this guy to J. Kidd but it appears the couple of years he spent being Kidd's understudy, he didn't learn anything.

well he's not gonna be anything more then a average back-up at best so he would probably be able to get a pay check in europe... then we can forget about him..

It should have said something about the guy when NJ traded Kidd for another young PG, then let Williams go.

He'd be perfect in New York. The Knicks can't run, and don't play defense.

nice

the only reason he got all those assists in uconn is because he would just constantly lob it to rudy gay why couldnt the nets realize that before they drafted him

Wait up, hold the phone, Nellie is talking about a PG that plays D, is he serious ? Nellie is talking about playing D period is a misnomer.
