Rainier Beach guard Aaron Dotson has committed to LSU. Dotson also had an offer from UW and, as the link notes, is now the fourth highly-rated prospect in the state to decide in recent months to head elsewhere after also considering Washington. The Huskies apparently have one scholarship left for the Class of 2009.

Aaron nice choice, better chance of winning a NC with LSU than UW, and possibly wouldn't have to sit out that long. With LSU loosing Brett Helms, Herman Johnson, possibly Ciron Black to the draft,Nice choice.

Hey, Next time be more specific in your freeking blog. Did not even look at the picture, so I assume it's a basketball gaurd, instead of a offensive lineman. Wow, who cares about basketball.

Great pickup by Trent Johnson. This guy is going to turn LSU basketball around. What a fabulous hire for LSU.

I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but I think we might be-----just might be------in for a rather entertaining season.
Do you realize how much shyte I heard from A&M fans after LSU went to the Final Four?
I have that level of optimism 'bout this year.
Scary.

Wow...the level of ignorance with the prior posts is loud and clear. Yes; he is a basketball player not an offensive lineman. Trent is from Seattle and this recruit is from Seattle. It's not a sure bet that this kid will pan out for LSU so don't get too excited. He may get homesick and bomb out like others who left for Kansas and Florida. The University of Washington has LSU's former college President-Mark Emmert and also our New Athletic Director is from LSU...so I'll take the trade off. Good luck.

Once Gatti signed with the Huskies it was pretty evident that Dotson would be a redshirt. Good luck in LA.

This is probably the last time anyone in Seattle hears his name.
