Him and Sciosia are clearly the 2 best managers in the the league. What he did this year to be competetive was REMARKABLE

I will agree with you on Gard, not with Scoscia. Gardenhire has a limited budget and very little wiggle room. Scoscia has an unlimited amount of resources gets top FA's and continually urinates all over himself in the post season.

After losing Tom Kelly and longtime GM Terry Ryan plus all the guys they've lost via free agency to big market teams (Santana and Hunetr in one season) they are still a force in the AL. Pretty amazing.

wasn't this a story a couple of months ago..

gard is great, glad they are keeping him, now the twins need to spend someo money and try to bring in some bats, and infield help

yeah i like gardenhire. he gets the most out of his players. ithe twins have a great baseball org. they continously produce studs only to have them leave for bigger money(not that i blame the players or anything) now if managment would open up ther wallets to fill in the gaps sometimes they could really do some damage.

the last 2 years that has been true- but other than Vlad a few
years back....they really didn't have the big FA players.

And who other than Vlad, Hunter & Tex is a MAJOR FA acquisition ?

It'd be cool if they could somehow turn D. Young and B. Harris into a pitcher and ss. Maybe someone like Garza and Bartlett?

Bartolo Colon, Gary Mathews Jr, Jerrod Weaver, who was not FA, but they paid out the wazoo for his signing bonus

I don't think he was a major FA signing, but they paid Matthews like he was one.

This is definitely a no-brainer. He's been solid with a mixed bag of talent every year he's been the Twins manager.

I think it's funny that the Twins owner has the most money in baseball and he doesn't spend any. Gard may like that tough. Big money players are harder to coach because they already "know everything"

Great move by the Twins. A terrific and an underrated manager.
