Buyer beware for Manny?

The line to sign future Hall of Famer Manny Ramirez will begin when the Dodgers exhaust their exclusive period to negotiate with him 15 days after the World Series (only a shockingly exorbitant offer would prevent Ram??rez from testing the open market). With the Dodgers likely to remain in the mix, the rush of competing suitors may be led by American League teams, the Blue Jays among them, who could use Ramirez as a designated hitter as he ages, though the Mets and Phillies rank among several National League teams with potential interest. Buyer beware? Not if Ramirez is judged by his performance since Aug. 1. After he purportedly fabricated a knee injury with the Sox in late July to bench himself for two games, Ramirez all but single-handedly propelled the Dodgers to the playoffs by batting .396 with 17 homers, 53 RBIs, and a .469 on-base percentage in his last 53 games of the season.

If anyone buys into Manny's demands ( ridiculous by any standards) they deserve the distractions they will inherit. It's one thing to perform for a month or two (and keep your mouth shut knowing your up for the auction block) it's another being under contract for the whole year and then the next........etc.

The only person in baseball who is a bigger aszbag than this bozo is his agent.

Exactly, anyone that thinks this cancer will help their team over the long haul gets what they deserve if they acquire him.

I would try to give him huge 1 year deals so his **** always stays motivated and he never gets to comfortable/lazy. I doubt he would take it, but I think that would be the best approach.

Well that's good, because I think he'd help my team and after a long winter under ice, I deserve some toadpussy.

Go Manny! You are a goofball, but you will bat in the middle of the order on any team in the majors. A 300 BA with 35 HR/120 RBI. Both your goofball attitude and your numbers are a sure thing.

If the Yanks get this guy I'm done with them. It's insulting to think he will be rewarded for acting like such a tool that the Sox got rid of him in the middle of a pennant race and paid his salary.
I hope he goes to the Dominican and goes jogging in the road while the Mets pitcher is out in his Hummer.

Seriously, I'd like to see that, dude. So you're saying that if the Rangers had acquired a guy like Claude Lemieux, you would have been done with them? Why didn't you walk away when they didn't dump Esa Tikkanen for his BS? Come on, Cyder. I seriously doubt your allegiance is that weak. I know you. I think you're just hurting inside. Gimme a hug.

Lemieux never quit on his team. Neither did Esa. They were dirty and annoying but they played hard always.
As far as my allegiance it has taken a bunch of hits over the last few years as they stockpiled players I disliked, practically ran Petitte out of town, handled the Torre situation VERY poorly and I can't stand Hank. At least George was smart enough to buy the team but his kid doesn't have that going for him.

Speaking of kids how Lil Atro?

Do you have a secret energy pill like Underdog? If so where to you keep it? Since you're a toad can you get high by licking yourself?

I forgot something:
Muck Fanny.

I understand your frustration, but what are you gonna do, become a Met fan? If you do that, you know Tony will someday soon be saying "Cyder? You won't see him no more."

As far as RGW goes, We took him for another test on Friday, we should have the results by tomorrow. Even if it's the same, though, he had a lead level score of 12 beyond an acceptable range of 1-10. If it comes back the same, a month of meds and another test should do it. Kids who get the lead in a bad way have scores of 30, 40, even 70. So the 12, although unsettling at first, is not that bad at all. On the bright side, if it comes back the same score, I can sue my landlord for a hundred thousand dollars. That's a lotta weed.

Seriously though, you guys have been real nice in thinking about him. I truly appreciate it.

Wouldn't it be Cuck Fustin Jyder?
OK, the 12 doesn't sound so bad in that light.
I was trying to figure out who I would root for but I'm not sure I could. I tried to stop rooting for the Jets during the Kotitte era and couldn't do it. I referred to dropping a duece as taking a Kotite for years but that's as far as it went.

I'm with you. You might want to consider "Pinching off an A-Rod" as your BM montra now. "Dropping the Thomas Kids Off at the Pool" is also widely recognized in the tri-state area these days.

Pinching off an A Rod is an October saying. It's like happy Halloween that way.
Man, Isiah just won't go away although he seemed to try and give it a shot. He couldn't even do that right.

I generally prefer to have FN broads lick me first, then I get all up in their ladyparts and the trip just kinda swims over to me. Becca and Faith have always been up for a good time that way.

How......Disturbing.
LETS GO RANGERS!

You may also wish to consider " Floating a Plaxico."
