Many bidders for Burnett

The Blue Jays still have a window where they might be decent if they keep A.J. Burnett, but if they can't, they could lag far behind the Rays, Red Sox, and Yankees. There's no shortage of bidders for Burnett - Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles, Phillies, Cardinals, Astros, Braves, Brewers, Tigers and perhaps others. Burnett loves the idea of St. Louis, though he lives in the Baltimore area.

Big health risk

IF and that is a HUGE if....healthy-
he's got top 5 stuff in all baseball.

I find it INCREDIBLY coincidental that in his opt out year
he magically finds teh healthy pill..........

I would stay away from this guy

I'll go $1.01

I don't think the Cards will pay him....based on what Mozeliak has been saying. ALthough, Duncan has always seemed to be a big Burnett supporter. The Cards pitched him a big offer before he signed with Toronto

Here's a good fit.... the Cubs. They usually have a lot of sore-armed, overrated, overpaid pitchers (e.g., Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, Rich Harden, Carlos Zambrano, etc.).

Agreed, stay away from Philly Burnett!

It'd be nice to see him in a Braves uni, but as Sacked92 said, he's a big health risk. We've done went through that. Mike Hampton

It's good to be a sort of above average pitcher in MLB. He beats the yankees alot, so red sox go ahead and bid! But Baltimore here he comes.

Go Red Sox

injury risk with heavy price tag

Subtract his best year or two, and he is a career 4/5th guy in the rotation...

I agree completely. He's had a couple great years during contact years, but he's been pretty average in the rest. If the Red Sox go after him to fill in the forth spot in their rotation, they can't be throwing $11m+ at him. For that kind of money, go after a bigger name.
