Isiah headed back to work

Isiah Thomas' son said the ex-Knicks coach will be back at work Monday and again denied Sunday night that it was his dad who overdosed on sleeping pills. Joshua Thomas, 20, scoffed at police reports his dad was rushed to a Westchester County hospital Friday after taking too many Lunesta sleeping pills. He stood by the claim it was his 17-year-old sister - who is hypoglycemic - and not his father who was hospitalized. The denials come a day after Harrison Police Chief David Hall accused Isiah Thomas of crafting a "coverup" for his overdose by throwing his daughter "under the bus." "My cops ... know the difference between a 47-year-old black male and a young black female," Hall said Saturday, referring to the emergency his officers responded to at Thomas' $4 million mansion. Cops classified the incident as an "accidental overdose." Thomas has yet to publicly explain what happened at his house but has reportedly denied he overdosed.

Last night I had angel hair pasta with white-clam sauce for dinner. For the last four hours I have had scorching diarrhea....the kind where you think your **** is on fire.

October 27, 2008  06:36 AM ET

he looks weird in this picture and to re-use it from the previous post is crazy..next post please..

October 27, 2008  08:05 AM ET

Isiah is going back to work? Does he even have a job? I thought his job was to stay home and not even come close to the MSG? This story is getting more ridiculous. Is he trying hard to be back in the limelight?

October 27, 2008  08:37 AM ET

Isiah is a disgrace to professional sports. An ignorant, racist, sexist pig who doesn't know shyte about basketball team management.

And he's a wuss to boot. get rid of his sorry arse ASAP.

October 27, 2008  08:57 AM ET

I wouldn't even consider this **** a man. To blame a 17 year old girl like that is just plain disgusting.

October 27, 2008  09:00 AM ET

I compare him to the wall street executives that earn their
millions even though they have basically brought us to the
brink of financial collapse..........

October 27, 2008  09:02 AM ET

Considering his job is sitting at a desk reporting to no one...

Anyway, like I have been saying until there is some clarity on this story I side with Isiah's version.

To Epoch1 who said in his post:

Well said! Enough about this loser!

Considering his job is sitting at a desk reporting to no one...Anyway, like I have been saying until there is some clarity on this story I side with Isiah's version.

Let's review... The police and EMT's are called. They transport a 47 year old man who suffered an overdose to the hospital. They don't release his ID. The 47 year old man then claims he was never there... that it was 17 year old girl they picked up basically calling the police and EMT's liars and idiots.

In their defense the police reveal that it was Isiah, a 47 year old man who they took to the hospital. Claiming they know the difference between an old man and a girl. They accuse the man of throwing his daughter under the bus with such a stupid and foolish LIE.

Then Isiah, a pathological liar and moron repeats his claim and gets his son, a completely disinterested party, to back his story. Isiah offers no records or other proof, other than his word, which is about as reliable as his testimony, to support his story that it was his daughter who was transported. Something the hospital records will easily conform or disprove.

But Isiah knows as long as there are people like J. Hova he will always have a believer so he will forever cling to his delusion that he really is fooling someone.

I don't trust the police anymore than most people but to give him the benefit of your doubt makes you look like an idiot... why go down with that dipshyte J. Hova?

October 27, 2008  10:00 AM ET

IT has had his problems, but I hope he gets things sorted out. I don't wish OD's on anyone...

October 27, 2008  10:07 AM ET

accidental overdose on a guy who just got fired from his position and hated by everyone in new york. yah im sure its accidental

October 27, 2008  10:27 AM ET

There had to have been a 911 call. These calls are recorded. There is also an emergency room record. Once again Isiah is caught in a lie. Smart money says in a couple of weeks he'll issue some kind of B.S. story and an apology.

Epoch 1 who died and left you and Tom in charge of morals or labels? You have to nerve to sport a Celtics logo and mention racist or sexist in the same sentence. Bill Russell who hung all those banners in your rafters was quoted just last year as saying the racism he endured in Boston to this day still sticks in his craw. Isiah is gone, the money lost in the lawsuit does not go against the salary cap so who cares if a rich owner who was going to raise ticket prices anyway is a little lighter in the pockets. The Knicks have not won a championship since the early 70's, but to hear some Knicks fans tell it that's Isiah's fault too. Everybody forgets all the bloated contracts that were here when he took over the job and yes there are still bloated contract their now but the talent level is better and has much more trade value. Ok so Isiah is gone now right? everybody happy now right? the dark cloud is gone from over the Knicks and you all can go back to what? Watch how good D'antonio and Walsh do with this team. Danilo Gallinari pleaseeeeeeeee 1st dumb pick and mistake. D'antonio came their for a check and he just got a fat one for his close friend's son as well... As far as Isiah lawsuit don't some of you posters dare try to act like you care about a black man calling a blackwoman the B word. Your just using it for your own convienence now to bash Isiah.

October 27, 2008  10:36 AM ET

I can't wait until Wednesday! Maybe Fannation will have something noteworthy to write about. This is a lame duck story. Isiah is out of power. Leave this story to (where are they now)

AO7... didn't you get the memo about me and Tom being in charge?

I was and remain a great fan of Bill Russell the basketball player. But after having met him a few times and having read his books it has become clear to me that Bill Russell is as much a racist in his own right as anyone can be, white or black... and yes, blacks can be racist too.

Rather than use his position and success to help fight against racism, he has chosen to cling to every bitter and imagined slight he received at the hands of people in NE. He was notoriously rude and disrespectful of his fans labeling every one who took issues with his demeanor a racist. Racism didn't seem to hinder his success but to hear him talk he was somehow fortunate to break through the racial barriers all on his own. What BS!

The Boston Celtics drafted the first blacks into the NBA... they had the first black head coach (Russell). They had the first all black starting five. Red Auerbach was as colorblind as a man could be. The Celtics organization boycotted hotels, restaurants and airlines that refused service to blacks. The were at the forefront when it came to breaking any barriers that stood in the way of blacks in their sport. But one thing Red could never do was support Russell in his ridiculous and irrational insults at virtually everyone in NE who were fans.

As far as I could see through Russell's own writings he saw every white man as a racist and would give no fair man his due based on their color... in Russell's eyes if you were white you were racist. He became a bitter angry man who lost any respect as a person I might have held for him with his stupid and race based rants over the years.

And your remarks stating that you think the "posters" which is obviously your reference to "white posters", not caring about a black man calling a black woman the B word shows just how deep your own racism goes. Its guys like you that keep the N word alive and well when it comes to labeling blacks.

Dude; Isiah is still employed by the Knicks. Anything he does is still a reflection on the organization. Given his reputation for being less than forthright, it's still Knick news.

October 27, 2008  11:51 AM ET

Why off yourself? All he has to do is have fun and run around and sign autographs for money the rest of his life. Not a bad gig.

October 27, 2008  12:11 PM ET

Epoch 1-

Just like I said only when it's convient for your cause. Put a man in a Racist enviroment and then don't like him as player or label him a racist because of what the enviroment does to him.

Oh and I'm sure regardless of "Guys like me" Guys like you are gonna keep the n word alive anyway you just look for an excuse so you can hide behind what you actually are.

Tell me when in a SPORTS WORLD would a Celtic fan ever care about the state of the KNICKS or their management if it causes them to lose. Exactly using the Knicks to express your true feelings.

Feel free to use the N word now I'm sure it comes off your tongue reguarly.
