gonzalez and peavy to the cubs, that could be enough to make the cubs ready for the sprint to the postseason (as soriano put it)

In the end, does it really matter how many great players the Cubs get? After all, they'll still be the Cubs!

Why would the Padres want to swap the much younger Gonzalez for Derrek Lee?

I would hate to see this trade happen. AG is one of my favorite players, and the Cubs are one of my least favorite teams. Plus, the Cubs would just ruin Peavy's career.
