Chiefs cancel Culpepper talks

Suddenly, the Chiefs' need to sign Daunte Culpepper to stabilize their quarterback play doesn't seem as urgent. The Chiefs were planning to meet this week with Culpepper, a three-time Pro Bowler, but the visit was abruptly canceled, a move that could end the talks between the quarterback and the team. It's coincidence, probably, that the conversation between Culpepper and the Chiefs was scrapped in the hours after Tyler Thigpen delivered the team's best-quarterbacked game of the season.

And this is why they are cellar-dwellers right now. If you think Tyler Thigpen is your solution, because of one decent game, then might be time to get your head checked.

Ok so the Chiefs are cellar-dwellers because they wont pick up a washed out quarterback?

And just how many decent games has Culpepper had the last few years? He is unsigned still for a reason. There are a lot of GMs that need their head checked then, 32 to be exact.

One of the smartest things the Chief's have done this year

Maybe they can get in touch with his agent.....

San Fran could sure use him!!!!

KC is in the scrap heap keeping the Qb's they got is a waste of time so one had a decent game big deal he will do terrible the next one no consistency

No, the Chiefs aren't the 'Bandini Mt' of the NFL because they won't pick up Culpepper, they have had more opportunities to pick up a quality QB than Obama has voted 'present' but with a cheap a GM and a Defensive minded Coach that has been more 'offensive' to the Chief fans since coming on board...it's safe to say that the Chief management wouldn't know a quality QB if one came up and kicked them in the behind!

There has to be something with Culpepper that's not being said. There are a lot of worse QBs in the game, including teams with no half-decent QB.
Nobody really gives him a chance.
It's not his knee; it has to be something like he's not intelligent enough to learn plays, read defenses or something

They need to focus on their RB, Johnson may be out the rest of the season.

This guy is going to Detroit. That is where average players go to die

Culpepper was a machine before he had surgery...people forget that... he was a machine with Moss and the Vikings, its really too bad what happened to him, because he had HOF potential for his career if he avoided the injury... he still can be a good, solid QB though, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron

There's no lake near Kansas City for Dante to import his ho's from Atlanta to party on. 'Nuff said. Who'd want a creaton like that to be the face of their organization?
