Edwards discusses engagement
Carl Edwards recently got engaged to Dr. Kate Downey, a hometown friend, and the Roush Fenway Racing driver who is second in the 2008 NASCAR Chase For The Sprint Cup seems a little overwhelmed by it all. "She's a wonderful, wonderful woman," the 29-year-old driver from Columbia, Mo., said Tuesday. "I can't believe I'm getting married. If you had asked me four years ago if I'd be proposing to someone, I would have said, "No way." "But she's just got me. She's awesome. She couldn't be any better. I'm really excited about it." Edwards was in a high-profile relationship when he dated Olympian Amanda Beard early in his Cup career, but this relationship isn't as high profile.

Okay - happy morning. I think the season is just feeling too long for me right now. I enjoyed racing more when JJ was not running well. This season now feels like Deja Vu all over again.

The truth with Jr is -- ladies in his life may try to change the way he is ... bingo! they are gone and he finds another "Lady of interest". You go Jr -- the rest of us will sit back and watch with tougues hanging out. Sooner or later one of these ladies will "trip your trigger" and your history...but make sure this lady has more ethic then the person your pop left in charge of DEI.
