Plantation American Heritage senior guard Kenny Boynton Jr. committed to Florida and Gators coach Billy Donovan on Thursday. Boynton Jr. (6-2, 187 pounds) made official visits to UF, USC and Georgia Tech. He visited UF last weekend for the homecoming festivities. Boynton Jr. attended Gator Growl and the football game. He's rated as one of the top recruits in the country for the 2009 recruiting cycle, according to both Rivals.com and Scout.com. He is ranked No.13 in the nation in the ESPNU Top 100.

one and done but who cares with him and jai lucas in the backcourt it's looking like 3 out of 4.

He is a one and done, but I'm shocked he picked Florida. I remember that ESPN was profiling him a couple of months ago and this kid was all over Duke.

I know he wouldn't have been the typical Coach K recruit but he sounded like he really wanted to be a Dukie.

Agreed...I first saw him a few years again as an eighth grader. He played in the Root Festival in Delray Beach and was outstanding.

He has become a scorer but I don't think he is a one and done guy. He is 6'2'' and isn't a true point guard. He will need a few years to learn the PG point position.

What's up with Billy's face in that photo? Is his proctologist giving him the whole fist?

Good thing he doesn't have the Alabama "A" emblem on. Otherwise, he would officially be named Gump.
