Let me be the first to start the Brian Roberts to the Cubs rumor. You know it's coming.

I say we seek Manny and move him to right field.

Hope the Sox get Figgins. May be they can trade Konreko to the Angels and get Figgins and some pitching?

The Cubs will never move Soriano out of the leadoff spot. They don't have the balls to drop him down in the order.

CF2 - you're right - I was listening to Chicago sports radio this morning, and they were already talking about Brian Roberts.

The Cubs need a leader--they have several good players, but none of them take any responsibility. I hate Derek Jeter, but the Cubs need someone like that. The most mature player on the team last year was probably Geo Soto, their rookie catcher--that really says something. Someone needs to be brought in, or else someone needs to step up and make these clowns play with some heart.

they accomplished their goal of winning a world series by playing small ball. I'd say a good way to judge a trade is if it wins you a world series, and he was an integral part in that. Pods isn't young, and wasn't young when they acquired him, they knew he was short term. Don't talk like you know anything. Think more, post less. jackass.
