Mora won't seek Washington job

Jim Mora, the favorite of many fans to become the next coach of the Washington Huskies, said Friday he will not be a candidate for the job. There was no formal approach or proposal from Washington, but according to a source with knowledge of the situation, there was an informal inquiry about Mora's availability through intermediaries and the message was conveyed to UW that Mora would not be a candidate. The Seahawks have signed Mora to be their head coach beginning in 2009. Mora had not previously talked publicly about the UW job since it opened, deferring questions from the media on Thursday.

I wouldn't want to clean up after Ty! It will be a LONG 5 or 6 years for UW to get back on their feet.

how come the Seahawks can hire him before the post is open but the Rams could not do the same with Haslett and the Rooney Rule?..........cleaning up that mess there would not be an easy task, they will be hard pressed to get a quality coach.

which is worse though a job at UW or a job with the pathetic seahawks, granted they have had there injuries but they are an old team getting older and it really shows this season. If i were him i would take the job with the most money because both jobs suck and you might as well get paid the most for the mess hell have to clean up in both places
