Indians in market for closer, infielder

The only way the Indians would part with catcher Kelly Shoppach is if they got a young closer in return. Which means the Red Spx would have to part with someone like Justin Masterson. Third base is another need in Cleveland, with Houston's Ty Wigginton on the radar.

I don't think he would make this deal, as the Indians have Jensen Lewis, they don't need no stinkin' closer! I will restate my threat from earlier in the month, if they trade Shoppach, I will cancel Slinky's season tickets!!!!!!

its not a bad thing at all. On the other hand... for someone to say "why can't WE...?", I would assume that person is referencing a team in his home state.

If we all start doing that, it would be anarchy and Obama would become president.

Trading Shoppach would be a mistake. Keeping him behind the plate, moving Victor Martinez to 1st and trading Ryan Garko is the best thing they can do.

The Indians can get Huston Street without trading Shoppach.

Polling states that there is a 55% chance of anarch beginning tomorrow, give or take a few % pts.

Who are the Red Spx?

I came over here (si.com) because the comments at foxsports.com are mostly idiotic. Wow, the same "fans" must post here, too. Back to the article at hand, it think the Tribe should give JLewis a shot at closer and work on that Teahan deal.

It's not that the same fans post here. You have traveled into a world of idiocy that you could not have possibly anticipated. Welcome to the freak show.
