Florida guard to transfer
Florida sophomore guard Jai Lucas, the son of former Maryland standout and NBA player and coach John Lucas, has decided to transfer. The 5-foot-11 point guard and his mother met with Gators coach Billy Donovan on Wednesday. Donovan said Lucas will remain in school this fall, then enroll elsewhere before the spring semester. Lucas averaged 8.5 points last season and led the Gators in 3-point shooting at 43.5 percent. He started all 36 games last season, as well as the team's first exhibition game Monday night. Donovan said Lucas wanted to play the point, a spot Nick Calathes has secured. Instead, Lucas has been relegated mostly to shooting guard.

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Lucas made a mistake to go to UF from the git-go. I have a feeling we will see him resurface in.....Stillwater, OK.

he will definatly get a call from bruce pearl. UT needs a top level pg for the 09-10 season to team with scotty hopson...if he stays. he may be scared off as UT already has 2 pgs commited for the 2010 recruiting class one of which is the 2nd ranked pg for now, but pearl loves his pg's and his track record is one that if you are good you will play no matter if that means a 12 man rotation.

Jai, I think, may have also seen the writing on the wall with other guards coming in.

He'll probably enroll to Maryland, and follow in his pops footsteps! Besides the terps need help at the point, b/c Vasquez is ok, but he turns the ball over way to much! Furthermore, the ACC will probably appeal to him as well!
