Torres open to Atletico Madrid return
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has not ruled out the possibility of returning to Atletico Madrid, but insists it won't be any time soon. Torres earned legendary status at Atletico before moving to Liverpool in 2007. The 24-year-old Spain international said it was the right time to leave, but he would love to wear the red and white of Atletico again.

It makes sense. It's the place he would want to end his career in.

I'd like to see him return there someday--for a testimonial after many more seasons at Anfield.

Won't happen any time soon. Maybe in a few years, say, around 5 or so. He'll get a testimonial in the form of a Atletico - Liverpool match at Vicente Calderon or at Anfield. He'll play a season or two with Atletico, and the hang up the boots. However, I wouldn't mind seeing him in MLS when he's older (maybe a stop gap between Liverpool and Atletico) Even if he will be old, he'd be a perfect fit for MLS.

More likely he will end his career with the red and white of Chivas USA.

he would not be the first to do it. I reckon it will depend how he adapts to life in the UK (and for how long).
I am sure Atletico would welcome him if he is still in good form
