The agent for Jamaal Tinsley has approached the Indiana Pacers about possibly buying out the point guard's contract, a person familiar with the situation said Friday. No figures were revealed. The Pacers owe Tinsley slightly more than $21 million on a contract that expires in 2010-11.

lol.
seriously- If I were tinsley- I'd just sit home and collect

have to forgo to get out of the deal.

The spurs probably will want him after all them love "old heads" !

Just buy him out and move on.

He and Marbury should just get bought out cause the Pacers and Knicks won't get anything for them. They're just dreaming.

SA will pick him up rather than Marbury......

And when Parker comes back he can back up Tony

I agree- but.....
marbury might be intriguing - cause in theory he can play
both guard spots......tinsley can only play the point
since manus is breaking down- steoh might be a more
'productive' piece

Marbury could help the Spurs right now. They have enough vets to possibly earn his respect and keep him in line. As long as he knows that when T.P. gets healthy he will be coming off the bench this could work.

Tinsley would be crazy to accept a buyout for less than he's owed. He has no way of making $21 million over the next 3 years. In fact, he may not have a job. I don't like him or Stephon, but if the Pacers or the Knicks want out, they should pay. Being forced to attend practices and games is a small price to pay for $21 million.

Well that would be the logical thing to do.
