Florida is aggressively pursuing Parvkview tailback Brandon Jacobs, who has committed to Auburn. While Jacobs said he remains loyal to Auburn, he is listening to other schools until the Tigers name a new offensive coordinator. Jacobs was recently offered by Florida.

That must be the pic of Meyer after he watched the replay of a Spurrier sideline fit. That....or the final score of that game.

November 16, 2008  12:24 PM ET

It's the game. It's up to the kid to stick with his original commitment.

November 16, 2008  02:40 PM ET

Or after he "thanked" Tebow for his great game.

November 16, 2008  02:45 PM ET

How come Meyer gets new pics every week when other coaches don't?

November 16, 2008  02:55 PM ET

Be real! Why go to a loser team when you can be a part of the MIGHTY GATORS?

Are you kidding? Look at the Gators last six games. We will likely play for the NC. If you are a prospective high school star, who would you prefer to play for?

High school stars are already lining up to be recruited by Urby. Go Gators!!!

November 16, 2008  05:16 PM ET

Who picks the photos that are next to the articles. That guy needs a raise. The whole NCAA page is hilarious.

Stay with Auburn Jacobs! Florida will fall back into mediocrity once Tebow leaves this Jan or next. Plus Auburn beats Florida every time they play. Oughta be a no-brainer.

November 16, 2008  06:32 PM ET

I think that is a look into the future after Saban spanks that arse on Dec. 6th.

November 16, 2008  08:10 PM ET

Been drinking the kool aid again have we Bama. Realistically you think the Gators fear Bama? They have a good D but exactly how are you going to score points? If the ball bounces just right for Bama they could come out with a very close win, if the ball bounces right for the Gators it won't even be close. I would say Vegas will make it at least a 10 point spread. and speaking of spread, its called the spread offense because of what it will do to your defense's Arse.

last eleven match-ups Florida is 8-3 vs Auburn what you been smokin? as for Tebow leaving ever heard of Cameron Newton 6-6 240, Tebow the next generation. and for Bama' have a little less of a problem vs LSU, Gergia, and Kentucky then talk.

Florida LSU 51-21 Georgia 49-10 Kentucky 63-5

Bama' LSU 27-21 Georgia 41-30 Kentucky 17-14

...because UF's offense is based around their RB. Meyer doesn't know how to properly use a RB. An athletic QB is what Meyer's spread is all about.

I certainly hope so! And please, Tide Defense.....when Tebow makes his rushing attempts, make him pay for those little runs. About time someone folded him in half and taught him a lesson about what an aggressive, big defensive line will do to QBs who get a little to cute.

Roll Tide! (And go UGA against Tech!)

November 17, 2008  03:56 AM ET

Didn't this kid have 2 TD's against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend???

Fall back to mediocrity? Gee since 1990 Florida has won less than 10 games 3 times since 1990. So we are falling back to where exactly? And Auburn? The last won the SEC title when? The national title when? And your talking smack? LMAF.

Meyer doesn't know how to use a running back? Did you not watch the game just this past Saturday? 3 different running backs had good games. 4 touchdowns between em. And Meyer doesn't know? Typical Alabama fan. Good luck against Florida. LSU, Georgia and Kentucky hung in there with Bama. Did you see the scores of Florida's games with those same teams? Nough said

Shouldn't surprise anyone who follows college football and recruiting. Urban "poacher" has made a career of picking off committed recruits with backdoor recruiting tactics and false infomation. The man has no integrity and every high school player should be for warned of his snake oil salesman reputation.

November 17, 2008  09:48 AM ET

LOL

"The man has no integrity and every high school player should be for warned of his snake oil salesman reputation. "

It's a business. That kid committed when Tony Franklin was there. He committed to the pread offense. Tuberville canned Franklin so he should expect to lose kids who committed to the spread. If a kid commits to a tram based on who recruited him and for what, if that coach leaves, why should he stay ? And before anyone says "honor your commitment" - by changing coaches they are changing philosophies. Auburn broke their commitment to him first. Apparently Meyer is the only coach who does this. LOL. You're paid big money to win at all costs. ALL COSTS.

"...because UF's offense is based around their RB. Meyer doesn't know how to properly use a RB. An athletic QB is what Meyer's spread is all about."

LOL

He never had any at Florida until this year. He had Deshawn "mood swings" Wynn and Kestahn "the plugger" Moore. Notice how deadly they are with Demps, Rainey and Moody ?

"as for Tebow leaving ever heard of Cameron Newton 6-6 240, Tebow the next generation. and for Bama' have a little less of a problem vs LSU, Gergia, and Kentucky then talk."

Wrong. Jordan Reed is Tebow the next generation. Netwon and Brantley are being built to be like Tebow and Leak like in 06. Jordan Reed is the next Tebow.

" OK, how bout' having a little less of a problem vs. Ole Miss. "

You mean the game they needed to wake them up ? LOL

thebone, I agree with you 100 percent. Nice to see a knowledgable person on these boards. Bama fans tended to be, well, dense and cocky. Can't wait til the SEC title game. Im thinking Florida will put 50 on that "great" bama defense.
