Neuheisel: UCLA QB needs work

With nothing on the schedule until a Nov. 28 trip to Arizona State, the Bruins get two weeks to savor their victory over Washington -- and address some lingering problems. Turnovers continue to be a concern after quarterback Kevin Craft suffered three more interceptions to bring his season total to 16. Craft, who is still considered the best option on the roster, threw off-target in the first quarter, tried to fit the ball into a tight space in the second and misread the defense in the third. All three miscues occurred on third down. More than anything, Coach Rick Neuheisel is worried about what he called "predetermination." Translation: Craft has been throwing to his primary receiver no matter what the situation.

That's an understatement.

QUOTE(#2):

True. Combine this statement with his Washington statement (about their record) and this guy has obviously conquered the obvious statement.

Thank you captain obvious. No wonder they hired you.

No wonder why UCLA hasn't been doing well this season...

"Translation: Craft has been throwing to his primary receiver no matter what the situation."

That's not the problem. The problem is that he throws to the other team no matter what the situation. From the look on his face after that third interception, I thought Neuheisel was going to have to check into a mental hospital.

Man, even I'm shocked at how many UCLA football stories we've been getting in T&R recently. Why would most people care about us until we start winning?

How does a comment in the UCLA section get removed? I mean how heated is this thread?

And to keep this post on topic-- Who Cares? Doesn't Kevin Crapt leave next season? Surely they have a talented QB coming in to be mentored by Norm Chow. Surely they do. And don't call me shirley.

UCLA is going to be a marginal team at best for a few years to come because of their QB situation.
