The Yankees will play the first exhibition games at the new Yankee Stadium against the Cubs on Friday, April 3, at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, April 4, at 1:05 p.m. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it marks the Yankees' first preseason exhibition game played in The Bronx since a two-game, split-stadium series against the Mets in 1993. The Bombers will play their first regular-season home game in their new ballpark on Thursday, April 16, against the Indians.

The joint is doomed regardless of who opens it.

The hardhat that buried the Red Soz shirt supposedly buried more than just the one they dug up. The Curse is on! It's all downhill starting April 3, 2009.....

Oh we can only hope! The Yankees become the new Red Sox! I suppose that makes it kind of ironic that they will be playing another cursed team to open the stadium.

Ha! That is right you can only hope. What is more likely is that they pick up CC and have CC, Joba and Wang ancoring a Rotation that is going to proprl them to first place in the AL again. That is more realistic than the Yankees being cursed. Ha!

That guy is the prototypical Red Sox fan. Buries a shirt in the concrete, gets drunk, tells someone about it right away, it gets around, he has to pay tens of thousands of dollars for the cost of getting it out, and the Yankees get to look benevolent by auctioning it off to charity.

Dumb as a sawed-off stump.

Cant wait til the Cubs beat them for the first time in there new precious overrated (already) stadium, cant wait!!

My advice to you would be to keep rubbing it off right there at home, as you've always done.
