Paterno eyes Jan. 1 recovery
Joe Paterno and two doctors agree that if Paterno has hip-replacement surgery the day after Saturday's regular-season finale, the Penn State football coach could recover in time for the Nittany Lions' likely Jan. 1 bowl game. "I'm going to be back," Paterno said yesterday during the weekly teleconference. "But how it's going to affect me? I don't have an MD after my name yet. Maybe when I retire I'll go back to medical school."

Oh please. If there were ever a nuclear war, it would be Joe Pa and the cockroaches for the rest of all time. The man's clearly made some deal with the devil to still be alive and coaching (kind of) at age 137 or whatever he is.

I tell you, Joe Pa is a government experiment to see how long you can keep a human alive and functioning. You will see when he outlasts Urban Meyer's career and is still coaching at 176 years old.

The class of college football if not all of sports. Anyone posting derogatory statements against this true gentleman has parents that are close blood relatives. The man gets paid around $500,000 per year and has given millions to the PSU over the years. We need more coaches like him to mold young men into future leaders. Instead we have all these money grubbers making 2&3 million per year as parents struggle to send their kids to college.

Have to find a 200 year old bone for the graph...just kidding...love Joe Pa and hope he gets healthy enough to coach again from the sidelines soon.
