Brandon Jacobs said Tuesday that he got "good news" from the MRI on his left knee, but he still might not play Sunday in Arizona. The Giants' top running back, who injured his knee in the second quarter of this past Sunday's 30-10 win over the Ravens, confirmed that the MRI showed "no major damage." However, in one of several media interviews Tuesday morning, he indicated the Giants might keep him out of the game anyway, just to be safe.

My great insider for the G-men.....Morris knows that the team is gonna go back-to-back. And that is some back. She so fine....anyway. Oh yeah....the Patriots lost the biggest game ever in the NFL.....CHUMPS. Sorry, I mean....SUPER CHUMPS. Word to your mother.

Yeah - you are hip Bond. Hip = repetitive non-sensical BS.

November 19, 2008  07:36 AM ET

Bond = racist, incase you haven't figured that out yet, jackman.

Same quote different day. I assume his/her/tranvestite's bus picks up immediately after post.

It's not even that Bond is racist. He's just stupid.

A team with a 3.5 game lead with 6 to play can affordable to be a little conservative with their injuries. I think he will suit up, and force the Cards to prepare for him, but not get any snaps.

/why yes, I AM going to post on topic, try to stop me!

Not appropiate......no posting on topic beyond 8 AM Eastern.

it changes the game if Jacobs doesn't play.. Eli can't get it done without him..

They said the same thing when Shockey went down last year....

I disagree. Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw are more than capable of getting the job done, especially on a short term basis. The Giants would be fools to risk losing Jacobs for the season by playing him when his knee is iffy.

this could be interesting. The giants are kicking butt but the reason that they won last year is because they didn't go "soft" - remember that patriots game the last game of the season? they decided to man up and nearly beat those bastarts from NE. And that set the table for their amazing playoff run.

that being said, I'd rest jacobs. that dude is the primary reason that the gints are where they are. he enables that entire offense including eli and the other to RBs

November 19, 2008  10:23 AM ET

Ward and Bradshaw are more than capable to fill in. Last year's Chicago game with Jacobs out, Ward ran for about 150 yards before breaking his leg. Rest the big man for a week.

November 19, 2008  11:12 AM ET

Crap. Ward and Bradshaw need Brandon to set the tone. Different game without 27 running folks over. Eli will need to pass more, much more

November 19, 2008  11:37 AM ET

Brandon Jacobs played in only 11 regular season games last year. He missed five due to injuries. It was Bradshaw who carried the Giants past the Bills in that awful weather that put them in the play offs last year. They HAD to win that game because the last game was the noble loss vs. the Pats........He has, and always will, miss some games because of his running style. Good that he gets a week off....They have, and can, win without him...If they lose it will because they plain got beat....

November 19, 2008  12:11 PM ET

If there is doubt they should rest him. The other backs can pick up the slack, someone is in there blocking for them and they are still there. It is a loss of a weapon, he brings something different to the running game but not so much that they must have him in there and their record means they can afford to be a little more careful right now.

Very interested to see what Giants defense does to Kurt "The Phoenix" Warner (appropriate he plays in Az). Cards playing well and this outcome will define the Cards if they win or further cement the fact that the Giants are methodically and without fanfare marching to another Superbowl until someone can try and wrestle it from them.

November 19, 2008  12:26 PM ET

Does anyone give a damn about the Giants?

November 19, 2008  12:55 PM ET

yes

November 19, 2008  03:07 PM ET

Giants need this monster period....

November 19, 2008  03:39 PM ET

My predication is that we will win: 27 to 11 1/2. Wind and Fire willl run wild and Kurt will turd his jock strap.

Rest Jacobs for a inute he needs it and I would also sit Eli and let Carr get his jock strap soil for a little bit - this game is not important to us.
