Heilman headed to Rockies?

Aaron Heilman doesn't necessarily want out of New York. He just wants out of the bullpen. But if the Mets insist he remain a reliever, Heilman wants to be traded. A source with knowledge of the Mets' internal discussions suggested there's an organizational split about Heilman - with chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon wanting him to remain and other key front-office personnel favoring a trade. There isn't a shortage of teams that want Heilman as a starter, with the Rockies believed to be among at least six teams intrigued.

Please stay with with the Mets, it was fun to watch the Phillies consistantly pound you for hits.

Here's a guy who got absolutely tattooed in a pitchers park. If I were a rockies fan and they traded for this guy, I'd love to see the over/under on homers allowed per game.

after the year he had-
he will be lucky to make a major league squad

He's going to a good Home run hitting Ballpark ? Good for you Home Run Heilman

He just can't pitch in NY, too much pressure. TRDE HIM!!!

Good Lord, I hope the Rockies don't make this trade. Let's see... let's take a guy that gave up 2 or 3 runs every time he was out there for one inning, then we'll try to run him out there for 5 or 6. That sounds like the recipe for success.

November 20, 2008  07:30 PM ET

he's awful

November 20, 2008  08:53 PM ET

Who cares

November 21, 2008  07:44 AM ET

Get rid of him if you can..he's not even worth a good glove so try and get what you can

November 21, 2008  07:50 AM ET

He's got some nerve..he isn't even a good reliever and he wants to be a starter..offer him a job as a groundskeeper at the new park

November 21, 2008  01:42 PM ET

oh dear lord please get rid of him.

With the way he pitched in the pen, he is demanding to start?! Ha! He should be lucky if he ever pitches again.
