Sundin has return in mind

Mats Sundin appears to be aiming for a mid-December comeback, with as many as 11 teams -- including the Maple Leafs -- interested in his services. "Mats is currently training daily with the intention to return," Sundin's agent, J.P. Barry said. "He may still decide not to play, however, if his training regimen doesn't produce the results he expects." The former Leaf captain is working out in Los Angeles, doing mostly strength and aerobic training. Barry says Sundin will likely start skating before the end of November, making a mid-December return "a reasonable guesstimate."

So does that mean that we only have to endure 3 or 4 more weeks of this?

No, because then, as with election results, we'll get 2 months of analysis of why he signed where he did. 10 years ago, this would have been interesting. Let's face it, it's not like we're talking about Phil Esposito here.

I guarantee you it's more than "a reasonable guesstimate" that everyone is tired of hearing about this ****.

November 20, 2008  11:13 AM ET

Nevermind the constant BS T&R's - are they EVER going to use a new picture?

November 20, 2008  11:15 AM ET

GFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

November 20, 2008  12:35 PM ET

I really wish he'd just pick a team and do his job and stop pulling a Selanne. I'm tired of Sundin stories. He's 38, highly respected, but is he really going to help lead a team to a Cup appearance? No. His sole interest is to get on a team with a dying chance at said Cup. AHHH!

November 20, 2008  12:43 PM ET

Screw this non-story. Why does T&R seem to think that people still want to know that Sundin is still THINKING about returning. This needs to end now! Who gives a rats ****. I hope he retires now.
