Which Braves are bickering?
The Braves are faltering and their veteran leaders are feuding, as third baseman Chipper Jones fired back Saturday at John Smoltz for comments the pitcher made the night before. after Jones sat out Friday's loss to the Tigers, in which Smoltz pitched. "I'll play the rest of the games this year and do what I can," Jones said, then followed it with a clear jab at Smoltz: "Somebody I know better not miss a start, though."

Obviously there is some tension here, but don't you think the media is blowing this up just a tad too much and making it a bigger crisis than it may be? Baseball Tonight on ESPN last night (Saturday) treated it like a White House scandal.

The comments are probably made from frustrations over the entire team's performance over the last couple of weeks. Andruw Jones batting less than .200, Smoltz has a big inning against him, the entire teams goes something like 50 innings without scoring a run, and Chipper is still struggling with injuries (first the hands and now a sore groin). McCann who is usually a soft spoken person, gets upset over a called third strike in Saturday's game in the 9th. He argues the call and gets tossed.

Chipper Jones needs to get off his **** and start contributing. Every other guy on the team gives 100% effort, but does Chipper? He needs to learn to play hurt and stop going on the DL for ingrown toenails and crap like that.

I agree....**** Chipper Jones...John Smoltz was a Brave LONG LONG before Chipper was even getting his first college fraternity party kiss. Smoltz is my man, not some hothead injured player who had 4 or 5 good seasons and now thinks he is the man!

Yeah, if I got beat 5-0 by the team that traded me, I'd feel pretty good about myself too, enough for me to point the finger at a team mate who had nothing to do with me giving up 5 runs.
